Rib and sternum segmentation on CT

Ribs 1 to 13 on each side keep their numbers in this MOOSE CT segmentation, and the sternum is outlined as well. With every rib named, a study can place a finding on a specific rib, describe rib cage shape, and measure how the sternum sits relative to the heart and lungs. On PET or SPECT, uptake can be read per rib and in the sternum, next to other marrow sites.

Find answers to research questions like: Which rib numbers carry the findings in a study group? How does rib cage shape vary between people? How does uptake differ between individual ribs?
