Body outline on CT

TotalSegmentator outlines the trunk and the extremities on a CT scan, which together give the body outline. Studies use it to relate body volume to weight and height, scale organ volumes to body size, check how much of the body each scan covers, and take the body diameter that size-adjusted CT dose estimates need. On an attached PET or SPECT scan, the body outline gives mean and total uptake for everything in view.

Find answers to research questions like: How does body volume relate to weight and body mass index? How does total uptake in the body relate to body size? Which scans cut off part of the trunk or the limbs?
