Craniofacial structures on CT

TotalSegmentator outlines the skull, mandible, upper teeth, lower teeth, maxillary sinuses, frontal sinuses, and head on a CT scan. Studies use them to measure sinus volumes, compare the left and right sides of the jaw, and relate facial bone shape to age and sex. On PET or SPECT, uptake can be read inside the skull and the mandible and compared between groups or scan dates.

Find answers to research questions like: How do maxillary and frontal sinus volumes differ by age and sex? How symmetric are the two halves of the mandible? How does uptake in the skull and mandible differ between groups?
