Lung nodules on CT
On chest CT scans, TotalSegmentator outlines lung nodules and the lung tissue around them, one structure for both lungs and one for all nodules together. Volume gives studies a size measure to set beside diameter and a way to follow growth between repeat scans, such as volume doubling time. On PET or SPECT, nodule uptake can be read and set against the lungs around it as a ratio.
Find answers to research questions like: How much does a nodule's volume change between repeat scans of the same person? How much of that change comes from scan settings and slice thickness? How does uptake in a lung nodule compare with uptake in the lungs around it?
