How to Run Medical Imaging AI Models Without Coding or a Local GPU

By Nalvera Team · 23 October 2026

Running medical imaging AI models traditionally requires programming knowledge, installing specialized software, and access to powerful GPU hardware.

With Nalvera.AI, you can run advanced medical imaging AI models directly in your browser, without writing code, installing software, or owning a GPU.

Whether you want to automatically segment medical images, generate research reports from CT scans, or create synthetic medical images, Nalvera.AI makes these AI capabilities accessible through a user-friendly interface.

Step 1: Upload Your Medical Image

Start by uploading your medical image to Nalvera.AI.

Nalvera.AI supports all common medical imaging formats, including DICOM and NIfTI, so you can work with your existing imaging data without manually converting files.

The Nalvera.AI Submit page: a task type picker for segmentation, captioning and generation, and an upload area that accepts dragged-in files or a DICOM folder, with an uploaded CT scan ready

Step 2: Choose an AI Model for Your Scan

After uploading your medical image, explore the AI models and tasks compatible with your data.

Depending on your scan, you can choose from supported capabilities such as:

You don't need to install Python or manually configure model dependencies.

Step 3: Configure and Run Your AI Task

Select your preferred model and configure the available options.

Submit the task, and Nalvera.AI handles the computation on cloud GPU infrastructure hosted in the EU. No local GPU is required.

You can follow the processing status in the Queue.

Step 4: Explore and Download Your Results

Once processing is complete, open your results in Nalvera.AI.

Depending on the selected model, you can review segmentation masks, imaging analysis outputs, or AI-generated research reports. For segmentations, you can also correct the masks with the built-in correction tools.

Download the supported outputs for further research, or analyze them directly on the platform in Study Design.

What About Synthetic Medical Image Generation?

Not every medical imaging AI workflow requires an existing scan.

With models such as MAISI-v2, you can generate synthetic CT and brain MRI images without uploading an existing medical image.

Simply configure the generation settings and run the model through the browser-based interface of Nalvera.AI. For a step-by-step walkthrough, see How to Generate Synthetic CT and Brain MRI Images Without Coding.
